This is a nice winter project to do anytime it's cold enough. It adds some decoration into a yard bare of flowers and most of its greenery, and depending on what you use, will become a handy natural dispenser for either birdseed or self-sown wildflower seeds.

5 Vote(s)

These communities, living at the edge of what is possible, face extinction because of increasingly cold conditions in their own microclimate, which may have been altered by the rapid melting of the glacier

2 Vote(s)

Will China announce a massively deeper emissions cuts compared to the U.S.? Imagine the implications to business at the very least we may be able to feel a little less guilt over all the products we buy. Wow this could be very embarrassing. Yes, an international battle to see who can be greener. Patriotism takes another hue.

5 Vote(s)

"Given what [deputy secretary-general] Lu Zhiyi has said to us, we think [our suspicions] are basically correct. That's why he hasn't dared to deny it.," said Wu a middle class home owner from the Bijiayuan housing complex in Guangzhou. As the middle class of China begins to rise and the proliferation of the internet and social networking becomes so pervasive even the iron fist behind the rubber curtain cannot crush dissent. The Chinese government is quickly realizing that if they want to continue their increasing wealth that also means an increasing populace that is demanding a greener tomorrow.

5 Vote(s)

Its a common sense la. If the bags are helping you get the groceries sold and out the door they are your resposibility almost as much as they are the consumers. This should apply to more than just grocery bags. If you are selling batteries and flourescent light bulbs (with mercury in them) you should provide a place to recycle them. This should go all the way back to the manufacturer. Consumers have to know. I can only imagine how many hidden recycling containers there are in the backs of these stores already.

5 Vote(s)
