In a truly sad and disheartening story we once again see another possible invasive species story. In the upper eastern states of the US there is a some sort of killer on the loose within the bat population. What is being characterized as white fungus found on bats dead from starvation has taken the populations of some caves from 55,000 to as low as 4,800.
