California approves toughest statewide green building code

California approved the most stringent, eco-friendly statewide building code in the United States. The new code, which won a unanimous vote by the state building commssion and will apply to new homes, hospitals, schools and shopping malls, takes effect next January.

Polychlorinated biphenyl, or PCB is being made maybe even unintentionally by paint companies across the globe. The interesting thing is that its airborne from the kind of paint that is on our walls. It is presently the fifth most abundant PCB in Chicago and probably many other cities.
